VisionIt is the vision of Victorian Infection Control Professionals Association (VICPA) to be a leader, key resource and advocate in the field of infection prevention and control for all health settings.

VICPA is a voluntary not for profit association representing Victorian Infection Control professionals and other healthcare workers with an interest in infection prevention and control.
Key Strategic Issues:
- Awareness of increasing complexity in advanced professional development requirements.
- Promotion of accountability within the VICPA executive team.
- Promotion of open constructive and inclusive debate within the membership.
- The need to clarify VICPAs role & function to promote effective articulation with other key groups.
- Further development of an open and effective relationship with AICA.
- Fostering member participation in association activities.

Committee Members & OfficeCommittee members must be nominated as per the Rules of the Association and must stand for re-election every two years. The maximum term that may be served by any committee member is 6 consecutive years. Would you like to nominate for the VICPA Executive? Nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than four weeks prior to the date of the AGM. Where possible the VICPA Executive seeks to have equal representation of both rural and metropolitan representatives. Following the VICPA AGM the Executive members may be elected to the following positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary/Public Officer
- Treasurer
- Membership Secretary
- AICA representative
- Publicity and Newsletter Officer
- Education Officer
- Chair Conference Committee
Other Executive positions include:
- VICNISS Advisory Committee
- VACIC (one rural and one metropolitan representative)
- VICNISS Advisory Committee (three representatives)

Meeting DatesThe VICPA Executive meets once a month either via a teleconference or a face-to-face meeting. Meetings normally run for a one hour period.
